Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a vehicle and a control method thereof, and more particularly, to a vehicle having an internal combustion engine capable of outputting power to a drive shaft and capable of automatically starting the internal combustion engine when the internal combustion engine is stopped, and a control method thereof. About.
By the way, for the purpose of starting a vehicle that performs intermittent operation, for example, when the driver depresses an accelerator pedal, load operation for obtaining a load on the internal combustion engine, or when the temperature of the internal combustion engine decreases, the temperature is increased. For example, there is no-load operation in which an internal combustion engine is not required to load. Among these, in the load operation, since the power required for the internal combustion engine is relatively large, a large amount of air is introduced into the combustion chamber. On the other hand, in no-load operation, normally only air sufficient to maintain the idle speed is introduced into the combustion chamber. Thus, the amount of air used for combustion differs between the load operation and the no-load operation. However, in the above-mentioned
An object of the vehicle and the control method thereof of the present invention is to achieve both suppression of vibration and good startability when the internal combustion engine is automatically started from a stopped state.
The vehicle and the control method thereof according to the present invention employ the following means in order to achieve the above-described object.

The vehicle of the present invention

Fuel injection means for injecting fuel into the internal combustion engine;
Start mode determining means for determining whether the start mode of the internal combustion engine is a first start mode in which the internal combustion engine is in a load operation or a second start mode in which no load operation is performed;

Start control means for controlling the fuel injection means so that fuel is injected into the internal combustion engine;
It is a summary to provide.
In the vehicle of the present invention, when the internal combustion engine is automatically started when the internal combustion engine is stopped, the start form of the internal combustion engine is the first start form in which the internal combustion engine is loaded, or the internal combustion engine is set to no load operation. A start-time fuel injection amount is set based on whether the second start mode is set, and fuel of the start-time fuel injection amount is injected into the internal combustion engine. That is, when setting the fuel injection amount at the time of starting, the starting purpose of whether the internal combustion engine is started for the load operation or the start for the no-load operation is considered. Thereby, since the fuel of the quantity according to each starting form is injected into the internal combustion engine, when the internal combustion engine is automatically started from the stop state, both suppression of vibration and good startability can be achieved.
In the vehicle according to the present invention, the starting fuel injection amount is set so that the ratio of increasing the fuel to the predetermined normal fuel injection amount is smaller in the second starting form than in the first starting form. It can also be a means to do. In no-load operation, less air is introduced into the internal combustion engine than in load operation. Therefore, when setting the fuel injection amount at start-up, the amount of increase in the second start mode in which the internal combustion engine is operated without load is more than the amount of increase in the first start mode in which the internal combustion engine is loaded. By reducing the number, it is possible to suppress the vibration at the start in the no-load operation. In addition, in the case of load operation, the amount of increase in the fuel injection amount at start-up becomes larger than that in the case of no-load operation, so that startability in load operation can be improved. Here, the predetermined normal fuel injection amount may be, for example, a fuel injection amount set based on the accelerator opening and the rotational speed of the internal combustion engine.
Further, the vehicle of the present invention includes an exhaust purification catalyst that purifies exhaust from the internal combustion engine, and a deterioration detection unit that detects a degree of deterioration of the exhaust purification catalyst, and the start control unit includes the start mode The starting fuel injection amount may be set based on the starting mode determined by the determining unit and the degree of deterioration of the exhaust purification catalyst detected by the deterioration detecting unit. When the internal combustion engine is stopped, oxygen is trapped by the exhaust purification catalyst, and therefore, nitrogen oxide (NOx) in the exhaust gas may not be sufficiently reduced at the next start of the internal combustion engine. Therefore, in order to fully exhibit the NOx reducing ability of the exhaust purification catalyst, it is necessary to increase the amount of fuel when starting the internal combustion engine and consume oxygen trapped in the exhaust purification catalyst. Here, the amount of oxygen captured by the exhaust purification catalyst differs depending on the degree of deterioration of the exhaust purification catalyst. Therefore, when setting the starting fuel injection amount, the starting fuel injection amount is set so that there is no excess or shortage in consuming oxygen trapped in the exhaust purification catalyst by taking into account the degree of deterioration of the exhaust purification catalyst. can do. In this case, the starting control means may be means for setting the starting fuel injection amount so that the injection amount tends to decrease as the degree of deterioration of the exhaust purification catalyst increases. As the degree of deterioration of the exhaust purification catalyst increases, the amount of oxygen trapped by the exhaust purification catalyst tends to decrease. Therefore, it is preferable to decrease the starting fuel injection amount as the degree of deterioration of the exhaust purification catalyst increases.
Furthermore, in the vehicle of the present invention, an electric motor capable of inputting / outputting power to / from the drive shaft, and an electric storage capable of charging and exchanging electric power with the electric motor obtained by converting power from the internal combustion engine. And a heating means for heating the passenger compartment using the internal combustion engine as a heat source, and the start mode determination means is configured to stop the internal combustion engine and the electric motor is supplied with electric power from the power storage means to drive the drive. In the case where the internal combustion engine is started when the required driving force for the vehicle exceeds a predetermined required driving force during the output of power to the shaft and when the remaining capacity of the power storage means falls below the predetermined remaining capacity In the case of determining the first start mode and starting the internal combustion engine in response to a heating request to the heating unit, the second start mode may be determined. In a vehicle that can travel using the power from the internal combustion engine and the power from the electric motor, for example, when there is an acceleration request when traveling only with the power from the electric motor or when the internal combustion engine is stopped, the remaining power storage means remains. Since the operation of restarting the internal combustion engine from a stopped state is frequently performed when the capacity is reduced, or when the temperature of the internal combustion engine is low when a heating request is made, the significance of applying the present invention is high. Here, the predetermined required driving force and the predetermined remaining capacity may be set as appropriate.
In the vehicle of the present invention, the start control means may be means for automatically stopping and automatically starting the internal combustion engine by idle stop control. When the idle stop control is performed, the automatic stop and the automatic start of the internal combustion engine are repeated many times during traveling, so that it is highly significant to apply the present invention.

According to the vehicle control method of the present invention, when the internal combustion engine is automatically started when the internal combustion engine is stopped, the internal combustion engine start mode is the first start mode in which the internal combustion engine is loaded. The fuel injection amount at start is set based on whether the second start mode is to be operated, and the fuel at the start fuel injection amount is injected into the internal combustion engine.

Next, the operation of the
First, the drive control routine of FIG. 3 will be described. When this routine is executed, the
When the data is thus input, the required torque Tr * to be output to the ring gear shaft 32a as the drive shaft connected to the
Next, the set required power Pe * is compared with the threshold value Pref (step S120). Here, the threshold value Pref is a threshold value for determining whether or not to operate the
When the target rotational speed Ne * and the target torque Te * of the
Here, the startup control routine will be described. First, the

If it is determined in step S120 that the required power Pe * is less than the threshold value Pref, it is determined whether there is a heating request for the heater 90 (step S170). In the embodiment, this heating request is made when the temperature of the

When the heating request is made in step S170 or when the engine water temperature Tw is equal to or higher than the threshold value Tref in step S180, it is determined that the operation of the
Next, the engine start control routine of FIG. 4 will be described. This routine is executed by the
When the engine start control routine of FIG. 4 is executed, the
Subsequently, the value of the starting form flag Fs is checked (step S310), and the increase correction coefficient ke corresponding to the starting form flag Fs is read from the correction coefficient setting map (steps S320 and S330). Here, the increase correction coefficient ke indicates how much fuel is increased when the
FIG. 8 is an example of a correction coefficient setting map. As shown in FIG. 8, the increase correction coefficient ke when the
When the increase correction coefficient ke is set, the starting fuel injection quantity is calculated by multiplying the basic fuel injection quantity set based on the accelerator opening Acc and the current engine speed Ne by the increase correction coefficient ke. (Step S340), the
Here, the
According to the
Further, since the increase correction coefficient ke is set smaller in the no-load operation than in the load operation, the increase in the basic fuel injection amount among the starting fuel injection amount is set smaller in the no-load operation. Therefore, in the case of no-load operation, the vibration at the start can be effectively suppressed. On the other hand, in the case of load operation, an increase in the fuel injection amount at the start relative to the basic fuel injection amount is set to be larger than that in the no-load operation, so that good startability in load operation can be ensured.
Further, since the increase correction coefficient ke is set to a smaller value as the maximum oxygen storage amount Cmax of the catalyst is smaller and the degree of deterioration of the exhaust purification catalyst is larger, oxygen stored in the catalyst is consumed while the
And in the
In addition, this invention is not limited to the Example mentioned above at all, and as long as it belongs to the technical scope of this invention, it cannot be overemphasized that it can implement with a various aspect.
For example, although the engine start control routine of FIG. 4 is adopted in the above-described embodiment, the increase correction coefficient ke may be set regardless of the catalyst deterioration index. Specifically, the engine start control routine of FIG. 9 may be adopted. 9, the same processes as those in FIG. 4 are denoted by the same step numbers as those in FIG. When the routine of FIG. 9 is started, the
