Abstract
【解決手段】各欠陥画素の画面位置が特定され、欠陥画素の表示を制御するための調整情報と共に、欠陥画素毎に記憶され、調整情報は、欠陥画素を含むフラットパネルディスプレイに画像を表示する前に、欠陥画素毎に記憶されたカラー値を修正するため、又は、各欠陥画素の1個以上のカラー成分を使用できない状態にするため使用される。

Claims (10)
- フラットパネルディスプレイ装置の欠陥画素を特性化する方法であって、
欠陥画素に対応する前記フラットパネルディスプレイ装置の画面位置を獲得するステップと、
前記欠陥画素の画素特性情報を受信するステップと、
前記欠陥画素の表示を制御するときに使用され、前記画素特性情報が含まれる調整情報を決定するステップと、
前記欠陥画素の前記画面位置及び前記調整情報を記憶するステップと、
を備える方法。 - 動作モードがアダプティブ型であり、前記欠陥画素に対応する記憶されたカラーが前記記憶されたカラー及び前記画素特性情報に基づいて修正される、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 動作モードがアダプティブ型であり、前記欠陥画素に対応するカラー成分が記憶されたカラー及び前記画素特性情報に基づいて使用できない状態にされる、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記欠陥画素の表示を制御するため使用される動作モードを受信し、前記動作モードを前記調整情報に組み込むステップをさらに備える、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記欠陥画素の前記調整情報が、前記欠陥画素が使用できない状態にされるべきであるか、又は、前記欠陥画素に対応する記憶されたカラーの成分がスケーリングされるべきであるかを示す、請求項1に記載の方法。
- フラットパネルディスプレイ装置の欠陥画素の表示を制御するため入力を調整する方法であって、
欠陥画素に対応する前記フラットパネルディスプレイ装置の画面位置を受信するステップと、
前記欠陥画素の調整情報を受信するステップと、
前記調整情報に基づいて前記欠陥画素の表示を制御するため前記入力を調整するステップと、
前記フラットパネルディスプレイ装置上の画面位置に表示するため前記欠陥画素を出力するステップと、
を備える方法。 - 前記欠陥画素の表示を制御するため前記入力を調整するために使用される、スタティックモード及びアダプティブモードを含む、動作モードを受信するステップをさらに備える、請求項6に記載の方法。
- 前記欠陥画素の表示を制御するため前記入力を調整するステップが、前記欠陥画素のカラー成分を使用できない状態にする工程を含む、請求項6に記載の方法。
- 前記欠陥画素の表示を制御するため前記入力を調整するステップが、前記欠陥画素のカラー成分の飽和度を低減するため前記欠陥画素の前記カラー成分をスケーリングする工程を含む、請求項6に記載の方法。
- 前記欠陥画素の前記位置に対応するカラー成分をフレームバッファから受信するステップをさらに備え、
前記欠陥画素の表示を制御するため前記入力を調整するステップがさらに前記カラー成分に基づく、請求項6に記載の方法。
