Abstract

990,585. Model vehicles. A. H. WARING. Aug. 6, 1963 [Aug. 3, 1962; Jan. 24, 1963], Nos. 29985/62 and 3048/63. Heading A6S. In a model road vehicle an axle is constructed to flex vertically but is relatively inflexible horizontally. The embodiment shows a construction to facilitate steering by a guide track. The centre boss 2 of a main axle 1 carrying king-pins 8 is non-rotatably mounted in a recess 3. A stem 5 extends below the vehicle to a guide track, as does also a stem 18 on a track rod 17, each end of which engages a pin 16 on a stub axle boss 10. The main axle 1 is wider than it is thick to permit vertical flexing but permitting little, if any, horizontal flexing.
