Abstract

955,400. Protective arrangements. GENERAL ELECTRIC CO. Ltd. Sept. 28, 1962 [Oct. 9, 1961], No. 36181/61. Heading H2K. In a fault-indicating circuit for a plurality of rectifier elements 7 each in series with a fuse 8, the fuses are connected in circuit with a balanced quadrilateral network, so that the blowing of a fuse causes unbalance and the operation of detecting means 14 connected between two opposite corners Q, S of the network. In the polyphase full-wave rectifier arrangement shown, two limbs of the network are formed by resistors 9, 10 and the other two limbs are formed by the fuses 8 in series with resistors 11, 12. Other arrangements described include a polyphase half-wave rectifier arrangement with the fuses and their series resistors in one limb of the network, Fig. 2 (not shown), and a polyphase full-wave rectifier arrangement with a network associated with each group of rectifiers, Fig. 3 (not shown).
