Abstract

953,022. Valve gear. FORD MOTOR CO. Dec. 12, 1961 [Dec. 15, 1960], No. 44386/61. Heading F1B. A rocker arm comprising a web 12 with depending sides 13 has a saddle shaped portion 14 in the web which bears against the rocker shaft 16. The rockers are urged against the rocker shaft supports 19 by springs 39 contacting washers 36 and the end rockers are held in place by springs 37. Lubricant supplied through the shaft 16 and holes 18 to lubricate the bearing portion 14. In Fig. 3 the rockers have sleeves 42 welded thereto through which the rocker shaft 17 passes. Specifications 861,598 and 937,475 are referred to.
