Abstract

928,557. Exhaust brake valves. ZAHN-RADFABRIK FRIEDRICHSHAFEN A.G. April 21, 1961, No. 14592/61. Class 7(6). [Also in Group XXIX] An exhaust brake valve comprises a disc 1 through a bore in which passes a spindle 2, the housing 3 having a groove 5 facilitating introduction of the disc which has recesses 6 in which fit sealing rings 7. The disc is slid into position along the groove 5 and the rings 7, bearing bushes 15, and rings 9 are placed in position. The spindle is fitted through the bore and the rings and bushes and rests at its lower end on a resilient mounting formed by a curved disc 10 resting on a corrugated spring 11. The disc is secured to the spindle, by a pin 4.
