922,915. Expanding-wheel gear. MANUFACTURE DE MACHINES DU HAUT-RHIN S.A. April 27, 1961 [April 27, 1960], No. 15337/61. Class 80 (2). The driving pulley of a V-belt transmission including two expanding pulleys, has a flange 9 fast on a hollow crank-shaft 4 of a two-stroke engine and a movable flange 13 fast on a shaft 15 slidably splined to the crank-shaft 4. The position of the flange 13 is controlled by centrifugal weights 14. The splines 5, 16 of the shafts extend for approximately half the length of the hollow crank-shaft, the unsplined parts of the shafts providing a smooth sliding fit. A seal 17 prevents the escape of lubricant.
