Abstract
A transmission system for a car consists of a clutch, and a speed changer. The speed changer has two gullies of variable diameter joined by a flexible transmission. There is also a reverser and a differential. The pulley (9) of the speed changer (2) is directly connected to the output shaft of the clutch. The reverser (3) is mounted on the shaft of the input pulley of the speed changer and it is joined to the differential (4) by a shaft almost perpendicular to the clutch output shaft. Final drive is by two half shafts (51) (52) and the whole assembly is mounted directly on to the engine.
