Abstract
907,733. Valves. WINN & CO. Ltd., CHARLES. May 8, 1961 [May 24, 1960], No. 18250/60. Class 135. An air eliminator for a liquid system of the kind in which a valve seat 13 is located in a hollow boss 11 extending upwardly from a float chamber 10 and the boss receives an elbow fitting 17 into which is secured a horizontal outlet pipe 19, has the fitting mounted on the float chamber by means 20 which permit it to rotate while providing a seal with the chamber 10. The means 20 consists of an 0 ring mounted in the boss 11, or as shown, in the fitting 17 which may be screwed on to the boss or be provided with a radial peg to engage a circumferential groove in the surface of the boss. The peg may be a grub screw or a peg carried by a spring ring encircling the fitting. An axial bore in a screwed plug 12 forms the seat 13.
