898,977. Carding engines; burr removing. CARDING SPECIALISTS (CANADA) Ltd. Oct. 23, 1958 [Nov. 29, 1957], No. 37285/57. Class 120(1) Wool to be de-burred is passed on to a carding roller from which some of the fibres are removed, de-burred and returned to the roller in advance of the point of original removal. Some fibres on the carding roller 1 are lifted from the roller by a worker 5, transferred by a brush 7 to a Morel roller 8 for burr removal by a beater 9 and returned to the carding roller 1 by a stripper 11. A proportion of the fibres on the roller 1 that pass the worker 5 are removed by a worker 6 and passed to a second carding roller 2, this roller may also be associated with similar de-burring arrangements to those associated with roller 1.
