Abstract

886,010. Nuts. UNITED-CARR FASTENER CORPORATION. Jan. 26, 1960 [Jan. 26, 1959], No. 2825/60. Class 89(1). A nut for securing in a blind hole, 12, comprises an internally-screwed boss 16, having a flange 18, bent upwardly and slotted at 24 to form prongs 25 which, when a tool 32 is forced between the prongs and fhe boss, dig into the wall 36 of the hole 12. The nut may have more, or less prongs depending on the holding force required.
