A tubular stranding machine comprises a plurality of adjoining sections supported only by two rollers 14 and a universal joint 17, 18. The rollers engage a flange 13 welded on to one end wall 4 of the section, and driving connection between the sections is by a pin 23 and socket 24 or by spring coupling or articulated rods. Specification 810,792 is referred to.
