702,806. Pipe joints. CLARKE-BUILT, Ltd. April 7, 1952 [Jan. 23, 1952], No. 1867/52. Class 99 (1). A 'sealing ring 10 which overlaps the ends of pipes 8, 9 and extends into recesses 14, 15 of coupling members 12, 13 secured to the pipes has a portion 7 lying between the abutting ends and Substantially flush with their bores. The coupling members are drawn together by a coupling nut 18. The ends of the ring and the bores of the recesses are slightly tapered.
