A valve member having an easily interchangeable seating in the form of a washer comprises a tubular body 1 with an inturned shoulder to form a stop for the washer 6 and a screwed plug 2 engaging a threaded bore in the body, the plug being provided at one end with a slotted head for rotating it into position and with a central pip 5 at its other end to receive and locate the washer.
