Abstract

833,247. Valves. EVERETT & CO. Ltd., S. & R. J. Sept. 18, 1957 [Sept. 20, 1956], No. 28812/56. Class 135. In a tapered plugcock, the plug 1 is provided with a resilient knob which contracts to allow insertion of the plug in the body 7 and which after insertion returns under the effect of its resilience to lock the plug in its operative position. As shown, the knob is constituted by claws 5 formed on a slotted tubular end portion 3 of the plug, the body having a reverse taper 9 which engages the claws.
