Abstract

856,353. Electromagnetic relays. ALLMANNA SVENSKA ELEKTRISKA A.B. March 3, 1959 [March 6, 1958], No. 7287/59. Class 38 (5). [Also in Group XXV] The armature and contact actuator of an electromagnetic relay are secured to the yoke by means of a plastic strip. The strip 6, which may be of a polyamide or tetrafluoroethylene plastic, is secured to both the yoke 5 and armature 3 and may be slotted as shown in Fig. 2. The end of the strip 6 may be divided into three flops (Fig. 3) with the outer flops 8 secured to the yoke 5 and the centre flop 9 secured to the armature. In Fig. 5 (not shown), the outer flops are secured to the armature and the centre flop extends between the armature and core to set the residual gap. In Fig. 7 the other end of the strip 6 is divided and the outer flops are folded around the end of the contact actuator 4 to form bearing surfaces for a pin 14 on a contact spring 15.
