Abstract
906,099. Electromagnetic relays. INFRANOR S.A. Sept. 2, 1960 [Sept. 4, 1959], No. 30389/60. Class 38 (5). An elongated armature 15 is secured at its centre on a spindle 14 mounted in bearings 13, 22 in bridges 11, 20 spaced apart on shoulders 12, 21 of a stirrup support 4 secured to the relay base 1. The latter has glass sleeve inserts 3 carrying terminals 2, some of which carry fixed contact sleeves 10 whilst others have moving contact springs 8 secured thereto. Members 18, 19 project from the armature 15 through holes in the bridge 11 and normally engage the springs 8 so that the armature is biased out of alignment with pole ends 27, 28 of an electromagnet 23 having a one-piece core and a coil 26. When the coil is energized the armature moves to bridge the pole ends 27, 28 and projections 18, 19 open or close contacts 8, 10. The complete assembly may be mounted in an evacuated or gas-filled box.
