Abstract
1,057,058. Electromagnetic switches. B. & R. RELAYS Ltd. June 16, 1965 [July 28. 1964]. No. 29984/64. Heading H2B. The armature and contact carrying member 30 of an electromagnetic contactor is guided in an aperture in the main support body 10 by nylon rollers 32. The housing 10, 11, 12 also contains a rectifier 37 and fuse 23 (Fig. 1, not shown) in the circuit of the contactor coil 36 and auxiliary microswitch 38 operable by armature extension 40. For A.C. operation the co-operating faces of the armature 33 and core-piece 36a would be flat instead of conical with a shading ring on piece 36a and a grooved armature to limit eddy currents (Fig. 4, not shown).
