Abstract

827,259. Electromagnetic relays. SIEMENS & HALSKE A.G. Sept. 27, 1957 [Sept. 28, 1956], No. 30400/57. Class 38 (5). A relay with magnetic contact springs in a glass protective tube 1 has two outer contact springs 2, 3 with a permanent magnet 5 between their ends outside the tube and an inner contact spring 4 deflectable by the energization of a coil 6 to engage either of the other contacts. Magnetic return paths 7, 8 may be provided and may form a protective cover for the relay and be adjustable to assist in biasing the spring 4. The latter may be biased into contact with either of the contact springs 2, 3 and arranged to return or remain in its displaced position on deenergization of the coil 6.
