Abstract

803,672. Securing panels. ATKINSON & SON, Ltd.. J. Jan. 4, 1957 [Jan. 5, 1956], No. 374/56. Class 20(4) Ceiling or wall panels are secured by T- shaped bars 3 screwed &c. to the rear of a panel 1 and having webs 4 longer than the lateral flanges so that their projecting portions 5 overlap the flanges 6 of steel or aluminium T-section bearers 7. The lateral flanges of the bars 3 may abut the flanges 6. In ceiling construction the side panel 8 has angle trims 9 at the extreme edges of the ceiling. The flanges 6 of bearers 7 and angle trims 9 are notched at 10 so that the panel may be removed by sliding it into a position where the projecting flange parts 5 and notches 10 register. Specification 771,598 is referred to.
