Class 20(iv) Spring metal clips 22, which are clasped between the prongs 18, 19, 20 of metal angle strips 17, carried by stationary bars 14 of a ceiling framework have a press-on engagement with heads 26 of stiffener members 30 one, or more, of which is, or are, secured, e.g. by nails, prongs &c. to each ceiling board 12 and provide concealed securing means for the latter. Added support at the edges of the panels 12 is preferably provided by a cornice 32 fixed to a partition 13. This type of securing means is preferably used to close the boundary, or other closure portion, of a ceiling the majority of the boards 11 of which are secured by runners 10 which co-operate with backing bars (not shown).
