800,203. Suction cleaners. FABER, E. Nov. 5, 1956 [Nov. 11, 1955], No. 33779/56. Class 8(1). An auxiliary air inlet for a suction cleaner is provided in a circular plane face on the housing 1 of the cleaner, e.g., in the closure cap 2 and comprises an aperture 5 covered by a rotary slide valve 6, guided by a flanged edge 8 and secured by a threaded bolt 7 and actuated by a handle 9 to adjust the suction at the cleaning nozzle. Indication marks may be provided on the closure cap and the rotary valve.
