914,137. Stud and socket fastenings. WATTS, R. C. April 19, 1961 [Nov. 18, 1960], No. 39653/60. Class 44. A stud and socket fastening for securing together two members 6, 7 comprises a socket 1, preferably made from synthetic resin, secured by a screw or bolt 5 to the member 6, and cooperating with a screw 9 and collar 2 secured to the member 7, the collar 2 also being preferably made from synthetic resin. The bore of the socket 1 preferably tapers inwardly towards its closed end, and the head of the bolt or screw 5 may be moulded in the closed end of the socket. The socket 1 may be let into the surface of the member 6 so that when assembled together the members 6 and 7 are in contact with each other.
