Abstract

726,521. Stoppers; opening bottles. CORTAT, B. C. Nov. 6, 1953 [Nov. 21, 1952], No. 30767/53. Classes 125 (2) and 125 (3). A cylindrical stopper 2 of cork or similar material is removed from a bottle by means of a ring 1 with screw threaded inner surface 4 which ring is placed over the stopper and screwed up to to the head of the latter before it is inserted in the bottle. To extract the stopper the ring 1 is rotated in the appropriate direction and by pressure against the bottle mouth lifts the stopper.
