Abstract
714,984. Universal joints. NEIDHART, H. Sept. 4, 1952 [Sept. 19, 1951], No. 22270/52. Class 80 (2) [Also in Groups XXXII and XXXIII] A universal joint comprises two resilient joints (see Group XXXII) of the construction described in Specification 652,266, [Group XXXII], having their outer housing 35, 36 rigid with one another and their inner rigid members 37, 38 rigid with yokes 41, 39, respectively carried by shafts 42, 40. Relative rotary and (to a lesser extent) translational movement between each inner member and its corresponding outer housing, is permitted by the resilience of rubber rods 15.
