An elastic coupling between a shaft and a universal joint comprises rubber annuli 3, 4 having outer reinforcing members 11, 12 which are bolted together and inner reinforcing members 5, 8 bolted respectively to flanges 1, 2 of the shaft and joint. A centring ring 17 is disposed between the reinforcing member 5 and a collar 16 of the member 8.
