Abstract
714,136. Waveguides. BENDIX AVIATION CORPORATION. Dec. 8, 1952 [Dec. 12, 1951], No. 31101/52. Class 40 (8) A right angle junction between a rectangular waveguide 12 and a circular waveguide 14 comprises a cylidrical ring 21, forming a continuation of guide 14 and having an aperture which receives the end of guide 12, a thin ring 22, contiguous with ring 21, extending in contact with the inner surface of guide 14, and a conducting annulus 23 being supported concentrically with respect to the rings by insulators 24. The ring 21 has an outer diameter equal to that of guide 14 but a smaller inner diameter. Two right angle junctions can be used together, with relatively rotatable connecting flanges 15 and 18, to form a rotatable transmission joint. Specification 714,135, [Group XL(c)], is referred to.
