Abstract

701,928. Vibrating conveyers. STEPHENSADAMSON MANUFACTURING CO. April 13, 1951 [May 24, 1950], No. 8647/51. Class 78 (1) A vibrating conveyer includes a balancing element 11 spaced from a conveyer tray 10, levers 12 connecting the tray and the balancing element and pivoted thereto at separated points and fulcrummed between said points, and helical spring means 16 connecting the tray and element. As shown (Fig. 2) conveyer tray 10, driven from motor 21 through eccentric 19 at link 17, is spaced from its counterbalance 11 (which may be another conveyer tray) by links 12 pivoted at rubbered pivots 13 to supports 14, and is connected thereto by springs 16 so that the whole oscillates with harmonic motion. Each spring 16 (Fig. 4) is positioned by rubber blocks 40 secured by plates 41 and bolts 43 to the end plates 48.
