Jan. 2, 1952 [Jan. 30, 1951], No. 2284/51, Class 20(iii) A sealing strip a, more particularly for vehicle doors, comprises a length e.g. of sponge rubber of substantially rectangular cross-section, and a wire b of metal or other suitable material which is embedded in the strip, recesses c being formed at spaced intervals along the rear face of the strip to expose portions of the wire b. Spring metal clips f are used to attach the strip to a door frame d, each clip being formed at one end to engage an exposed part of the wire b and at the other to form a resilient wedge-shaped plug for press-in engagement with one of a series of holes formed in the door frame d. In mounting a strip the clips are first attached to the wire.
