692,363. Double door fastenings. ASH, J., ROGERS, A., and ROGERS, A. L. Sept. 4, 1951 [Sept. 6 1950] No. 21925/50. Class 44 A double door fastening comprises in the form shown, a spring loaded, vertically sliding, latch bolt 13 mounted on the first closed door a for co-operation with a bevelled keeper 15 on the door frame and arranged to yield to allow the door to be pushed closed and pulled open and a projection 17 on the second closed door b co-operating with an arm 16 carried by the bolt 13 to lock the catch bolt when the second door is closed. In another form the sliding spring loaded bolt is mounted in a casing and cooperates with a bevelled keeper on the door frame, the keeper projecting through an aperture in the casing into engagement with the bolt. An inclined under side face on the keeper coacts with the lower edge of the aperture to position the fastening members should there be distortion of the doors or frame.
