Abstract

684,738. Dielectric heating. HAAS, H. April 6, 1951 [May 22. 1950]. No. 7986/51. Class 39(iii) [Also in Group XIII] In the drying of loose fibrous material the material is carried, between foraminous endless belts B<SP>1</SP>, B<SP>2</SP>, between electrodes C<SP>1</SP>, C<SP>2</SP> connected to an electric highfrequency generator. To prevent vapour condensing on the electrode C<SP>1</SP> an absorbent endless band E is traversed below the electrodes and heaters K dry out the band before its return to the electrode. Waste heat from the electrodes is conducted to the heaters.
