Abstract
Yarn packages supported on hollow bobbins are mounted on a conveyor which advances the packages between at least one pair of electrodes connected to a high frequency generator, whereby the packages are heat treated and dried by the field set up between the electrodes. As the packages are advanced on the conveyor their bobbins are rotated and e.g. steam produced as the packages dry passes pref. through the bobbins and into a waste duct beneath the conveyor. The waste duct is connected to a vacuum source. The packages are dried/heat treated uniformly and the process does not cause the dyes to run.
