Class 110(ii) The bore d of the casing c of a rotary compressor is increased in radius over an arc g in advance of the delivery port f to allow flow back of air into a space h as it approaches the delivery port. The bore may also be increased before the suction opening. The object is to ensure smooth air flow to and from an interlobe space h and avoid noise and pulsation. Over the arc g the bore may be flat ur curved.
