Abstract

643,609. Lamp-holders. AXBERG, G. F., and LUMALAMPAN AKTIEBOLAG. April 9, 1948, No. 9976. [Class 38 (i)] In a holder 1 of the kind having a moulded body 8, a circular aperture 27 therein is closed by one flange 28 of a flanged support 29 grooved for the end-wise projecting pins 11 of a tubular lamp 16 and which engages by projections 12 on its waist 14 the pockets 13 on the holder contacts 10 secured on a carrier 2, the holder contacts being of the same depth as the waist, the other flange 15 of the support 29 rotates within an opening 19 in the carrier or in a recess 30 in housing opposite the aperture 27. Projections 6 on the carrier 2, Fig. 6 (not shown), engage beneath projections 25 in the body 8 and the contacts 10 are secured in recesses 7 in the carrier and are supported thereon by a boss 20 on the carrier back plate 21. Preferably the support 29 has a circular projection 30 which fits in a corresponding recess 31 in the body back plate 26. Each contact 10 is formed into a tube 4 at one end and a binding screw 3 for a lead inserted in the tube threaded transversely thereof.. The Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 also comprises a holder in which the projection 30 on the support and the back plate 21 in the carrier are omitted. This subjectmatter does not appear in the Specification as .accepted..
