Abstract

620,797. Roller weighting arrangements. DOBSON & BARLOW, Ltd., and WALSH, F. Jan. 23, 1947, No. 2083. [Class 120 (ii)] A textile drafting roller weighting system has a weight lever 6 carrying a load 16 at its front end and a pivot pin 8 at its opposite end which passes through an L-shaped slot 3, 4 in a supporting bracket 2, so that when the weight lever 6 is lifted at its front end and slid back a weight-hook pin 9 is received on a ledge 5 and holds the weight out of operative position.. The weight hook 11 is, preferably, pivotally balanced to swing from a roller saddle with the hook at its lower end under the pin 9, when the latter is on the ledge 5.
