611,868. Water closets. JOHNS & CO., Ltd., E., and STOTT, C. K. May 11, 1946, No. 14262. [Class 26] In a water closet basin 1 wherein the flushing cistern 5 is arranged in a low-down position, the inlet 6 is provided with a baffle 14 adapted to restrict the delivery of flushing water into the basin and to create a momentary back pressure to the initial delivery. The baffle 14 may be made to separate a small chamber 12 from a chamber 3, through the orifices 16 in which the flushing water flows. Through a small vent 3a water is delivered to the basin 1 after the main flush to reseal the outlet.
