Abstract

610,934. Ventilators. O'HEA, I. J. April 10, 1946, No. 11035. [Class 137] An extraction ventilator, e.g. for fixing over an opening in a roof, comprises a rectangular throat 15 formed by two outwardly facing troughs 11 open at their ends, and two end plates 16. Extending between the,plates 16 are a covering member 18 above and spaced from the throat to provide openings 22, and external spaced baffles 23 associated with each opening 22 and extending upwardly beyond the edges of the member 18, and spaced from and parallel to the end plates are internal baffles 29, which may be formed by channel members, and have permanent closure means between their lower edges and the end plates. The troughs 11 and plates 16 may be integral with and bent up from a base plate 33, which plate 33 provides a horizontal fixing flange around the four sides of the throat 15.
