Abstract

811,280. Roof ventilators. GREENWOOD'S & AIRVAC VENTILATING CO. Ltd., and HUGHES, B. D. Nov. 6, 1957 [April 8, 1957], No. 11432/57. Class 137 A ventilator suitable for the roof of a building comprises two L-section base members 1, two T-shaped end members 3 having flanges 3<SP>1</SP>, a top plate 5 projecting over the sides of the duct formed by the upright portions 1<SP>1</SP> of the base members 1 and secured to the end members 3, and internal baffles 8 fixed beneath the projecting portions of the top plate. The flange formed around the base enables the ventilator to be fixed to a roof and in a modification (Fig. 4) the duct 4 may be fitted with simultaneously operable dampers 20 connected by the bar 23 and link 24. A further modification provides a glazing in the top plate 5.
