Abstract

609,358. Agricultural implements. PIMBLEY, J. H. March 12, 1946, No. 7671. [Class 6(i)] A means for attaching soil-working tools to a frame comprises a pair of parallel transverse bars 5 and 6 mounted on the frame and one or more tool-carriers provided with means for engaging the bars in order to restrain the tool from vertical displacement while permitting lateral adjusting movement. The bars 5, 6 are of angle formation with forwardly-projecting horizontal webs. The carrier comprises a tool stem 8 to which are secured flanged strips 7 carrying plates 9, 10 suitably spaced apart from the strips to form channels in which the horizontal webs of the bars 5, 6 engage. The tool may then be slid laterally and locked in position by pins 13 passing through aligned holes in the bars and plates. The tools 14 (see Fig. 4) may be mounted in sets on the carriers which may also include depth-adjusting wheels 20. The bars 5, 6 may be mounted on a sub-frame raisable on the main frame by a lever and linkwork.
