Abstract

663,900 Agricultural implements &c. FENTON, W. March 2, 1950 [June 8, 1949], No. 15224/49. Class 6(i) A tool mounting for cultivating machines comprises a main frame 1, 1a secured to the machine and having parallel members 1 for the slidable reception of an auxiliary frame 2, carrying the tools 5, the auxiliary frame having parts 2f, 2c which project laterally for engagement both above and below the members 1, the two frames being secured against relative movement by a pin passing through aligned holes 2e, 1b in crosspieces 1a, 2d on the respective frames. The members 1 may comprise parallel angleirons with outwardly-directed flanges and the frame 2 may comprise similar members with inwardly facing flanges. Alternatively; as shown in Fig. 9, the member 2 may comprise a plate having up-turned portions 2d, 2f. The machine carrying the members 1 may be a simple wheeled frame, Fig. 7, or a walk-type tractor.
