Abstract
815,846. Agricultural implements. THOMAS, G. A. Dec. 18, 1956 [Dec. 22, 1955], No. 38598/56. Class 6(1). Cultivator blades are fixed to tool supports 9 which are mounted below a transverse bar 1 and are fixed thereto by means of clamps 12 each of which comprises two straight divergent limbs. As shown the supports 9 project forwardly of the bar 1 and carry two rows of blades. The clamps 12 are bolted to bridge pieces 11 and engage in grooves on rollers mounted between the supports 9, Frame members 50, 53 are mounted on the supports 9 so that the implement may be connected to a tractor three point linkage. As shown the blades are flexible and are provided with a spring 38. Alternatively a coil spring may be provided between each blade and the attachment portion. Rigid blades may be used. In a modification the clamps 12 are fixed to cylindrical spacers mounted between the supports 9. Alternatively the clamps are fixed to spacing members provided with transverse extensions which engage under the supports 9.
