[Class 89 (ii)] [Also in Group XXX] The hoisting rope 4 of a hoist is attached at one end to a hoist drum, not shown, p'asses over a. pulley and is attached at its other end to one open hook element 11 of a compound hook, the other open hook element 12 of which is reversely disposed to the element 11, is pivoted to it adjacent its point and has its shank 14 connected to one end of a rope 9, the other end of which is connected to a power operated drum, not shown, so that a load carrying shackle 15 can be displaced from the hook element 11 on to the rope 9 and pass down it by gravity. The drums may be controlled electrically by push buttons.
