[Also in Division E1] The cables 18, 21, Fig. 1, which lift and open the grab 19 of a grab-crane are both wound on a winch drum 15 but the effective length of the grab-opening cable 21 is adjusted by a ram 10, 11, Fig. 2, carrying a pulley 14 round which the cable 21 passes. The ram 10, 11 normally operates a scraper 8 which is detached when the machine is used as a bucket crane. The jib has telescopic sections 6, 7.
