Abstract

595,957. Centrifugal &c. fans &c. HAYWARD-TYLER & CO., Ltd., HOWARD, G. P. E., and IVANOFF, A. July 11, 1945, No. 17700. [Class 110 (i)] To enable smaller radial clearances to be obtained between the impeller and diffuser of a centrifugal pump without risk of seizing, the diffuser comprising discs 11, 15 and vanes 13 is assembled on the hub 14 of the impeller and is located axially by the discharge pressure forcing it against the pump casing at 16, rotary movement of the diffuser being prevented by a pin 19 projecting from the pump casing.
