384,825. Axial - flow compressors. ADAMCIKAS, M. and MASSERA, G., Astor House, Aldwych, London. Jan. 11, 1932, No. 809. [CLass 110 (i).] The rotor casing 10 of an axial-flow compressor is mounted between two similar volute members 1, 3 forming the inlet and outlet. The shaft 5 which carries the impellers 4 is mounted in bearings 6, 7 and glands 8, 9 are provided to prevent linkage. The guide vanes 11, 12 are similar in shape to the impeller blades. Specifications 303,452, [Class 110 (i), Centrifugal and screw fans &c.], 369,901, and 384,341 are referred to.
