[Class 146 (ii)] A letter-card comprises a sheet with a tear-off marginal strip B along one edge or two parallel edges separated from the main body of the sheet by an interrupted weakened or perforated line C and so arranged that when the sheet is folded for transmission by post it is secured by sealing the overlapping parts of the strip by adhesive, the interruptions C<1>, C' in the weakened line being so located as to extend beyond each side of the fold lines about which the sheet is folded. In one form, Fig. 1, the strip B is formed at one end of the sheet A by a line of perforations C. Adhesive is applied at D' and D<2>, and the sheet is first folded along a line E<1> so that the lower edge a coincides with the line C. Transverse folds E', E' are then made, the part D<2> stuck down on to the part D<3> and the part D<1> stuck down on to the back of the part D<2>. The part A' may be tucked into the part A<1>. Further, adhesive may be applied to the part D' instead of to the part D<1> or D<2>. A printed mark F may be provided to indicate where the edge a<1> lies after folding along the line E<2>. In a second form, Fig. 3, detachable strips B are provided along two parallel margins, and adhesive preferably applied only at D' and D<2> or alternatively at D<1> and D', although it may extend over the entire length of the strips B. The sheet is folded along the lines E, E' and the margins stuck together. A folding mark F is provided as before, and instructions may be provided on the margins. The gumming as well as the perforations may stop short of the folding lines E, E<1>. The gumming may be omitted and the sheet sealed by strips of adhesive paper. The strips B may be coated with latex so as to be self-adhesive, in which case, a portion of part D' is cut away so that when fold E is made, a part of D<2> is exposed for adhesion to the part D'.
