Abstract

1,205,858. Carrier bags. BRAMSON'S PAPIER INDUSTRIE N.V. 6 Aug., 1968 [16 Aug., 1967], No. 37443/68. Heading A4G. A paper sheet, Fig. 1, is formed into a bag (Figs. 3, 4) by folding top strip 4 inwardly and applying adhesive thereto, applying a self-adhering layes to flap 10, folding bottom strips 6, 7 inwardly about line 9 and folding strip 8 outwardly and applying adhesive thereto, portion 13 of strip 7 sticking to flap 10 (Fig. 2), and folding the sheet about line 5 so that side 2 sticks to strip 4 and strip 6 sticks to strip 8, thereby providing a bag with a folded bottom. Before use, a strip 7 is torn at a perforation 14 so that the bottom 6, 7, 8 can be flattened (Fig. 4). The open end is closed by flap 10 which is folded about line 11 and stuck to the outer surface of side 2, which may also have a self adhering layes. A carrying handle (15) is provided. Alternatively strip 7 may be cut at line 14 or portion 13 may be removed.
