584,036. Roofs. TURNERS ASBESTOS CEMENT CO., Ltd., and ASHMAN, H. W. Nov. 1, 1944, No. 21370. [Classes 20 (iv) and 87 (i)] An asbestos-cement roofing tile or sheet is stepped at 3 and provided with an upturned upper edge 1 and a downturned lower edge 2. The tiles are of a width to span the rafters 4 to which they are secured by nails 6 which serve also to hold down plates 5 provided with pins 7 which are bent over at 8 to secure the lower edge of an overlying tile.
