Abstract
537,310. Relaxation oscillators. BRITISH THOMSON-HOUSTON CO., Ltd., and MYNALL, D. J. Feb. 8, 1940, No. 2420. [Class 40 (v)] In a relaxation oscillator of the kind in which a condenser 6 is charged through a valve 3 biased by a series resistance in the charging circuit, the biasing resistance 10 is only a portion of the series resistance 10, 11. A leak resistance 12 is connected between the grid and the junction 10, 11 and a condenser 13 is connected between the grid and the outer end of resistance 11. The main condenser 6 discharges through a neon tube or gas-filled valve 9. The resistance 11 may be replaced by another group consisting of elements corresponding to the elements 3 and 10 .. 13.
