Abstract

532,550. Lamp holders. CAMPBELL, G., and BENJAMIN ELECTRIC, Ltd. Sept. 7, 1939, No. 25256. [Class 38 (i)] A screw - socket lamp-holder or the like has a portion of the periphery of the socket 2 cut away and a slot 2b cut circumferentially from one or each side of the gap 2a to make the socket resilient. The resilience may be increased by a spring 7 lying in the thread of the socket. A flange 4 at the mouth of the socket forms a means for mounting it on a base 1 and has its edge bent to form a screw-thread on which the cover 5 screws.
